Nitrogen doesn't form pentavalent compound such as NCl5. But Phosphorus form pentavalent compound such as PCl5. why?

Nitrogen form pentavalent compound like NCl5 due to the absence of d orbital. But Phosphorus ( P) form PCl5 molecules due to the presence of d orbital... Atomic number of N =7 Electronic configuration = 1s2 2s2 2p3. Atomic number of P = 15 Electronic configuration of P = 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p3.
