in right angled triangle, OPA,

OA=13cm (radius)

OP=12 cm(given)

thus,

by Pythagoras theorem,

AP=√(13²-12²

=5 cm

thus,

(a)-AB (length of the chord)=2*5 cm=10 cm

similarly,

(b)-AP=√(12²-9²)

= √63cm =3√7 cm

thus,AB(length of the chord)=2*3√7 cm=6√7 cm

NOTE:√(ab)=√a *√b

e.g √63=√(9*7)=√9*√7=3√7
