No, I do not agree with Brutus. If he really did love Rome more, then he would have seen how much Caesar had lived for country than for himself.
He would have seen the hardships and humility of Caesar and would have never conspired against him.
During Mark Antony’s speech, we can clearly see instances where Caesar had shown his humble nature in front of others and also Brutus had access to Caesar’s will which also clearly portrays how much Caesar loved his countrymen.
Most importantly, Brutus was Caesar’s confidante which means that he always got to observe his nature personally.
In these lines, we can see how Brutus is an excellent orator who knows how to sway the masses’ emotions using words and psychologically manipulate them to believe in the conspirators’ ulterior motives.
