Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

first you make an expression then it will be easy for you

let no. of boys be x

no.of girls=1/3+x

no.of boys+no.of girls=140

x+1/3x=140

4/3x=140

4x=140X3

4x=420

x=420/4

x=15

so, no of boys=x=15

     no of girls=1/3+x=15.3

total students/no.of girls

=140/15.3

ans=140/15.3

:)

pala987: how are you
herman34: hi shrishty could you please do that again because in the equation no. of girls is taken wrong it is not that you mentioned earlier
srishtibrainly: see that again i have mention the same equation earlier
Ritiksuglan: how are you
vibhutiminghlani: I think this answer is wrong because practically no. of girls can't be in decimals,coz like no human can be counted as 0.3 right?
srishtibrainly: hmm
srishtibrainly: no
srishtibrainly: because we have to show them in fraction as mentioned in the question
srishtibrainly: srry i havent read the question properly
