area of the marble slab

the side given of the marble slab

 = 20cm

 =  \frac{20}{100}  = 0.2m

area = (side) {}^{2}

area = (0.2m) {}^{2}

 = 0.04m {}^{2} ......(1)

area of the square room

 = ( 3m) {}^{2}

 = 9m {}^{2} .......(2)

dividing 2by1

we get

Number of marble slabs required to pave the floor of the square room is

no \: of \: marbles =  \frac{9m {}^{2} }{0.04m {}^{2} }

number \:of \: marbles = 225

Area of marble slabs = Length × Breadth

= 20 × 30

= 600 cm²

Side of square room = 3m = 300cm

Area of square room = side × side

= 300cm × 300cm

= 90000cm²

no. \: of \: marbles \: slabs \:  =  \frac{area \: of \: room }{area \: of \: marble \: slabs }  \\  =  \frac{90000}{600}  = 150
