Number of tetrahedral voids per atom in a crystal lattice is

surinder4: sorry that was wrong
ApurvaPragya: Ha it isn't
ApurvaPragya: in fcc structure there are 8 tetrahedral voids 2 on each body diagonal
surinder4: ok
ApurvaPragya: however only 50% of them was filled with cation in ionic structure
ApurvaPragya: if we divide the lattice into 8 parts we get cation on each alternetive block
ApurvaPragya: which is 1 in each body digonal
surinder4: ok
