Solution :-

Given :-

  • Force = 20 N
  • Area = 70 cm² = 0.007 m²

To Find :-

  • Pressure

Formula Used :-

  •    \underline{\boxed{\pink{ \sf Pressure = \dfrac{Force}{Area}}}}

Subsisting Values

 \sf \implies  \dfrac{20}{0.007}

 \sf \implies \dfrac{20}{7}  \times 100

 \sf \implies \dfrac{2000}{7}

 \sf \implies 2857.14 \: (approx)

Thus, 2857.14 Pa (approx)

Hence, Solved

\large\red{\underline{{\bf Given:- }}}

  • Force = 20 N
  • Area = 70 cm²

\large\red{\underline{{\bf To\:Find:- }}}

  • Pressure exerted on the surface.

\large\red{\underline{{\bf Solution:- }}}

Step 1 :-

{:⟹} Convert 70 cm² into m².

We know that,

{:⟹} 1 cm² = {{\bf {10}^{ - 4} }}{{\bf m^{ 2} }}

So,

{:⟹} 70 cm² = 70 × {{\bf {10}^{ - 4} }}{{\bf m^{ 2} }}

{:⟹} 0.007 m²

Step 2 :-

Find the pressure,

Formula :-

\large\boxed{\underline{{\bf Pressure = force/area }}}

{:⟹} 20/0.007

{:⟹} 20/7 × 100

{:⟹} 2000/7

{:⟹} 2857.14 {{\bf {ms}^{ - 2} }}
