O-nitrophenol is very less soluble in water than p-nitrophenol. Why

it is so as O-nitrophenol form's intra-molecular hydrogen bonding within itself and there is no presence of associativity taking place...

In case of p-nitrophenol The hydrogen in functional group forms inter-molecular hydrogen bonding with water and so associativity takes place....

Due to which p-nitrophenol is more soluble in water than O-nitrophenol.
