Damage caused to the environment through different occupations:

Agriculture:

To practice agriculture, the most important resource that is needed is the land. To secure land for agriculture, forests are cut and cleared. This affects the environment adversely. Other than that, the chemical fertilizers used in agriculture result in the degradation of soil.

Industry:

Industries are infamous for leaving the highest carbon footprint of all the occupations. The fuels that are burnt in industries to generate energy cause pollution and contribute to the damage of the environment.

Service:

This occupation follows the industry in damaging the environment. Though the damage caused by this occupation is not direct, the amenities and facilities used by this occupation cause pollution indirectly.
