3>Present Perfect : Something which has been completed or done. Like : I have studied.

Past :

2> Past Continuous : Something which was being done. An action which has being completed. Like : I was studying.
3> Past Perfect : Something which had been done at a particular moment in past, OR used to indicate earlier past. If you're talking about two things in the past, you use this to indicate the older one. Like : I had already studied yesterday before dad told me to study.
4> Past Perfect Continuous : Something had been being done continuously in the past, and had begun at a particular time and was not done at the time of speaking. Like : I had been studying for an hour that day.
