on analysis a certain compound was found to contain 254 gram of iodine atomic mass 127 and 80 gram of oxygen atomic mass 16 what is the formula of compound

weight of iodine : weight of oxygen
           254         :          80
   
then
      254/127       :       80/16
           2             :           5

so empirical formula is I2O5
