Benzene sulphonyl chloride reaction:-Benzene sulphonyl chloride (C6H5SO2Cl), also known as the reagent of Heisenberg, reacts to form sulphonamides with primary and secondary amines.

N-ethylbenzene sulphonyl amide yields the reaction of benzene sulphonyl chloride with a primary amine.

Because of the presence of strong electron withdrawal sulphonyl group, the hydrogen attached to the nitrogen in sulphonamide is strongly acidic.
