To bring them one by one to the basket placed at the first stone, if he starts from the basket then the distance to be travelled will be all the distances twice (because he returns again)
which will be equal to twice of sum of all distances
Option 1 : Since the distances are in ap so the total distance will be
= 2 * [ Sum of all distances ]
= 2 * [ (100/2) * (2*1 + 99*2) ]
= 2 * [ 100 * 100 ]
= 20000
So, He travels 20000m or 20km .
