hello users ....

given quadratic equation is x²- 15x + 56 = 0

solution:-
x² - 15x + 56 = 0

=> x² -7x -8x + 56 = 0
=> x(x-7) - 8(x-7) = 0

taking (x-7) common..

=> (x-7)(x-8) = 0

=> (x - 7) and (x - 8) Are the two factors of given quadratic equation

and
x = 7 , 8 are the roots of equation

Hi !!!

This is your answer...

Given Polynomial :- x² - 15x + 56

We have to find two numbers, a and b such a + b = -15 and ab = 56.

Factorising 56 = 2 X 2 X 2 X 7
                        = 8 X 7.

Clearly, two numbers a and b are 7 and 8.

x² - 8x - 7x + 56 = 0.
x (x-8) - 7 (x-8) = 0.
(x-7) (x-8) = 0.

Hence, two factors of given equation are x - 8 and x-7 .

Hope it helps...
