You can either use the following conversation or develop similar one using ideas from it:

Student A: Hey, I had been itching to talk to you very urgently about our friend, Archit!

Student B: Really! What happened?

Student A: Nothing new! His old TV mania! You know already, he hardly has any friend except us. We too would have not cared to be his friends if we had not known the cause of his being so!

Student B: True! We know he is addicted to TV. We sympathize with him, don’t we?

Student A: We do, that’s why we are discussing him! Well I was wondering if we could help him wean him off TV a little bit. You know there are so many channels available, some of them are quite inappropriate. He might get addicted to such channels, which will further leave him worse off.

Student B: Not only this, he is doing very poor in his studies; his grades in the recent tests were the lowest in the class!

Student A: We must do something, otherwise he will fail!

Student B: What can we do? We have already tried counseling many times.

Student A: Let’s have a word with him one more time. This time we will tell him that his poor performance in the examination is the indicator of his own negligence, mismanagement, and carelessness. He has reaped what he sowed. His addiction to TV and mobile has affected his performance drastically.

Student B: We will also motivate him. We will tell him there is no use of crying over the spilt milk. The past cannot be undone. The best option for him will be to muster all her energies and focus them on the coming exams. We will ask him to stop using mobile and watching TV altogether. We will help him make a time table and conscientiously stick to it. We will advise him to study, revise, practice, and solve sample papers.  If he needs our help, we are ready to study with him. If he feels he needs extra-classes for math, we will ask him to enroll himself with an institute. Brooding and pining over the past mistakes won’t let him prepare for the coming exams.  We will also tell him all great personages suffered failures. Failures are an integral part of success. He just needs to learn the lessons and move on.

Student A: That sounds great, let’s go to him.
