The ratio of the salaries of A and B, a year ago = 3 : 4

Let their salaries be 3p and 4p respectively.

Ratio between the individual salary last year and this year is given by:

For A = 4 : 5

Let current salary be x

so, 3p/x = 4/5

x = 15p/4

For B = 2 : 3

Let current salary be y

so, 4p/y = 2/3

y = 6p

Now, its given

x + y = 41600

Putting values, we get

15p/4 + 6p = 41600

39p/4 = 41600

p = 166400/39

A's salary = 15p/4

So, 15/4 (166400/39) = 16000

Present salary of A is 16000.

In the attachment I have answered this problem.

According to given information
the ratios are converted into equations.

The equations are suitably modified and substituted to get the required answer.

I hope this answer helps you
