The organ of Cortii is situated in the scala media of the cochlea of the internal ear between the vestibular conduit and the tympanic pipe and is made out of sensory cells, called as hair cells.
The arrangements of hair cell are in rows on the inner side of the organ of cortii. “The hair cells at basal end ” are in close contact with the nerve fibers.
