The traits in different organisms would be similar because they are inherited from same ancestors but their function would be different these organs are called as Homologous.for example internal structure of forelimb of a whale ,wing of bat ,leg of cheetah ,claw of a mole and hand of man are similar but their function is different for whale is to swim,for bat to fly ,for cheetah to run ,mole to dig and for human to grab things
