Circle intersect the positive y-axis at  (0 , 4/3)

The centre of circle is (0 , 0)  , mid-point of points of intersection with x-axis and y axis

The radius of the circle is 4/3 units

The area of the circle  16π/9 sq units

Other end of the  diameter is ( -1 , - √7 /3 ) if (1, √7 /3) is one of the ends of a diameter

Given:

A round clock is traced on a graph

The boundary intersect the Coordinate axis at a distance of 4/3 units from the origin of circle

(1, √7 /3) is one of the ends of a diameter

To Find:

Circle intersect the positive y-axis at

The centre of circle

The radius of the circle

The area of the circle

Other end of diameter

Solution:

Find Circle intersect the positive y-axis:

The boundary intersect the Coordinate axis at a distance of 4/3 units from the origin of circle

Hence Point at y axis will be ( 0 , 4/3) and ( 0 , -4/3)

On positive axis it will be ( 0 , 4/3)

Find The centre of circle

Origin (0, 0)

c) both a and b  where

a) mid-point of points of intersection with x-axis

b) mid-point of points of intersection with y-axis

The radius of the circle is 4/3 units

The area of the circle = π (radius)²

= π (4/3)²

= 16π/9 sq units

If (1, √7 /3) is one of the ends of a diameter the Other end of diameter will be ( -1 , - √7 /3 ) as center of circle is mid point of diameter and (0 , 0)
