Human tail and ear muscles are in extinct condition for the following reasons -
• The tails in most of the vertebrates are for body balance purposes during quad-pedal (most of the cases) walking.
But humans can walk on their two legs which demolished the necessity of the tail as a balancing organ and that's why human tail extinct over time.
• The human didn't use their movement of ear for long time period (many generations) because they don't had any necessities to do so.
That's why the ear muscles became weaker with every new generation during the evolution process and today these human ear muscles are in their way of extinction.
