Let his monthly income be x.
House rent = 20% of x = x/5.
Rest money = x-x/5 = 4x/5.
Household expenses = 60% of 4x/5= 12x/25.
Rest money = 4x/5 -12x/25 = 8x/25.
As per the question,
8x/25 = 2520
i.e. x= 7875.
So, Monthly income = Rs 7875.

Mr. Motilal spends 60% and 20% of his salary. So he saves 20% of his salary. Let his salary be x. Therefore 20% of x is2520 i. e. 20/100 × x is 2520. X= 2520×100/20 which equals to 12600. Therefore salary of motilal is rs12600
