Out of three exams, Ravi had scored 70 and 75
marks in two examinations. A student can be
placed in Grade A if the average score of three
exams will be at least 73 and at most 80. Ravi is

this question is from class 8 linear equations ( i think )
anyway , here is your answer
Frame two different in equations and solve.
(ii) Let he scored x marks in the third exam.
(iii) Use 73≤75+70+x/3 ≤80 and solve for x.
then you will 95
you will get 74< 3rd exam<95

Assume that x be the marks obtained by Ravi in the third unit test.
It is given that the student should have an average of at least 60 marks.
From the given information, we can write the linear inequality as:
(70+75+x)/3 ≥ 60
Now, simplify the expression:
⇒ (145 +x) ≥ 180
⇒ x ≥ 180 -145
⇒ x ≥ 35
Hence, the student should obtain a minimum of 35 marks to have a average of at least 60 marks
