verify weather the values of x given in each case are the zeros of the polynomial or not?​

given \: p(x) = 2x + 1

x =  \frac{ - 1}{2}

p( \frac{ - 1}{2} ) = 2( \frac{ - 1}{2} ) + 1

p(  \frac{ - 1}{2} ) =   - 1 + 1

p( \frac{ - 1}{2} ) = 0

so \: x =  \frac{ - 1}{2}  \: is \:the \: \: zero \: of \: p(x)

P(x)=2x+1

So

P(-1/2)=2×(-1/2)+1 = - 1+1 = 0

So - 1/2 is the zero of P(x)
