Hi ,

It is given that p(x) = 2x + 5 ,

It is a linear polynomial in

one variable x .

So , it has only one variable.

To , find zero of p( x ) ,

Let p( x ) = 0

=> 2x + 5 = 0

=> 2x = -5

x = -5/2

Therefore ,

-5/2 is a zero of given p(x).

I hope this helps you.
