= ( x - 1 )( x² - 1 )

= ( x -1 )( x + 1 )( x - 1 )

[ By algebraic identity,

a² - b² = ( a + b )( a - b ) ]

Therefore ,

p(x) = ( x -1 )( x -1 )( x + 1 )
