        To Bank A/c                                      7,000

(Payment made to Raju by 5,000 and 7,000.)

GIVEN: Paid to Raju 5,000 in cash and 7,000 by cheque.
TO FIND: Journal Entry made for the payment made to Raju.
SOLUTION:

As we are given by the question,

The business firm makes a payment to Raju, to whom money was given in partial amounts by cash and partially by cheque.

Also, Raju is the creditor to the firm whose payment is made and liability of the firm decreases and, the liquid asset of the cash and bank account decrease hence are credited.

The journal entry for payment made to the Raju, by cash and bank will be as follows:

Raju A/c                       ----Dr.      12,000

       To Cash A/c                                      5,000

        To Bank A/c                                      7,000

(Payment made to Raju by 5,000 and 7,000.)
