Girls education is very essential to our society .

Girls are undoubtedly an indispensable part of our society. No society or culture can progress without the presence of girls. Until few years ago, people in India and several other underdeveloped and developing countries used to think that girls should stay at home, cook food and look after the kids and elderly. But now the mindset has been changed; girls in India are bringing accolades to their parents and they are doing well in every field such as academics, sports, politics, etc.

This could only be possible through encouraging girls’ education. Education is the only weapon that can empower girls and consequently strengthen the society. It is good to see that the modern age is changing its attitude towards girls and giving them all the support to prove their potential. Gender equality plays an important role in this change of attitude. Every girl is capable of doing extraordinary work provided they get proper education and upbringing.

Educate Girl Child

I would like to start with the famous saying of Nelson Mandela - "Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world!" Education is a basic need as well as a fundamental right both for men as well as woman . But ironically , women education hasn't been given much importance since the very beginning . Indian society has always been a man dominated society where women have always been subject to inferior treatment . So the same trend continued in education too. As I began with what Nelson Mandela says , how can we expect our society to change and progress when the building pillars - women are held in the jaws of illiteracy ? Talking of the past , people thought that women are subordinate of man . Her life was spent showering affection upon others . But now , the scenario has changed to a great extent . Women are no longer a slave of man .

We have great woman inspirations like Kalpana Chawla , Malala Yousafzai , Indira Gandhi who have proved that girls are no less than men ! Today women are showing their talents in each and every field . If given a chance , they can reach great heights . Though their present condition is somewhat better than before , it's not the best that we can do for them . Still efforts are needed to make our country safe for them !!

→Education for women is an essential element . Education won't just help them retain a better status in society but will also help them realise about their rights and duties . And then , we've all heard the famous saying that ,

You a educate man ; you educate a man!

But if you educate awoman , you educate a generation"

→Today in this 21st century , women have touched great heights of success . Gone are the days when women were kept within the four walls of the house . Inspirations like Indira Gandhi , Kalpana Chawla , Sunita Williams are shining stars who have inspired others to break all the boundaries and reach great heights . An educated women can contribute in the nation building activities and can help in the improvement of the economy . A very inspiring example is of Rashsundari Devi : a woman who learnt to read and write in the secrecy of her kitchen walls . another inspiring soul is Malala Yousafzai , who has inspired Women all over the world to fight for their right of Education!

"Women can improve the nation With their best intentions

But only if they have the weapon of Education !"

→ Slowly , our society has also begun to realize the need to educate women . As education of women won't just uplift them , but will also prove beneficial to the nation ! We are all aware of the famous programme "Beti Bachao , Beti Padhao" which is an initiative to save and educate girl child from the very beginning ! Government is taking all possible steps regarding the same . Though it isn't the same everywhere but Scenario is changing at a rapid pace. The day isn't far when illiteracy shall be completely eradicated among and we shall possess an educated nation !

 THANKS!!
