Due to deforestation, the ecological balance is disturbed which results in more frequent floods and droughts. Due to deforestation, the topmost fertile layer is lost, which results in decrease in fertility of soil and soil erosion.Forests provide natural habitat to the wildlife, when they are cut down it affects the shelter, food of animals and birds. Impact of deforestation can be seen on the global warming and climate change. Trees are the source of rainfall on the earth and also prevent soil erosion during floods. Continuous deforestation and cutting of trees is making the environment of earth toxic and leading to various ecological threats. Deforestation should be stopped immediately in order to protect our environment. Afforestation should be encouraged. Principle of "Each One Plant One" should be encouraged.
