Answer:

Appropriate Question :-

Pawan sets to cover a distance of 12 km in 45 minutes. If he covers 3/4th of the distance in 2/3rd of time, then what is the speed in the remaining time?

To Find :-

Speed of remaining time

Solution :-

At first he covers ¾ of 12

Therefore,

¾ × 12 = 9 km

Now,

Remaining distance = 12 - 9

=> 3 km

Now,

When he takes ⅔ of time

45 × \frac{2}{3}

15 × 2

30 min

Remaining time = 45 - 30

=> 15 minutes

Now,

15 \:  minutes =  \frac{15}{60}   \\ =  \frac{3}{12} \\  =  \frac{1}{4}

\\  = 0.25 hours

Speed =  \frac{distance}{time}  \\ Speed =  \frac{3}{0.25}  \\ Speed = 12 hr
