I am no expert, but have a few thoughts. Does sustainable imply an infinite resource availability, or that the resource being used can be made from other resources that are infinitely available? This idea reads like it's nonsense, but it may be worth considering. Sustainable at a private local level may imply that a project uses on hand materials and can be finished without bringing in more materials other than energy, and human effort, but energy is not free, and humans need food which must be grown requiring many inputs including nutrients which are finite. Sustainable may mean to some individuals or corporations that if there is enough for them that is all that matters. If the opposite of development is things staying as they are then maybe forget about taking another breath, or footstep, or is some action a development when the change has required thoughts, even by an ant? Is a new theorem, or idea in a poem a development? Yes I think so. Is a volcanic eruption a development? Again yes. Does planet earth consider volcanic eruptions as sustainable development? ???? Yes during the remaining life of the planet. If a development can not be sustained then it disappears, and then can not be a development, and was just a change if development requires demonstrable benefit to some living biota, sentient or non sentient. Silverfish could benefit greatly from human extinction due to global warming.

sustainability of development means that development in future should continue with the same base with which it is running now but it's not that easy as most of the resources are renewable in future when these resources will get exhausted it will affect the pace of development from where resources are available if they get polluted they are would be of no use in future for sustainable development we have to and show battery technology which will ensure best use of resources use of suitable goods which ensure the availability of non renewable sources for long time
