In the story "the necklace" we get to see similiar expressions and behaviour by Mme Loisel which lead her to a very bad condition

Mme Loisel dissatisfaction from the way of life she was leading and the insecurity of being poor made her do all the things like using 400 francs and borrowing necklace from her friend making her blind of the present situation she actually was in thou being low in terms of money she had limitless aspirations. Though she got few minutes of satisfaction from her activity but the same necklace made her pay heavy amount of 36,000 francs too

Hence this story very well teaches how a person must not forget his ground realities and keep his mind controlled before having a particular desire
