Perimeter of square room = 56 m

Length of each side of the square room = Perimeter/4

⇒ 56/4

⇒ 14 m

So, length of each side of the square room = 14 m

Another room has one side 2 m more than the other.

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x meter

So, the length will be (x + 2) meter

As given that the Perimeter of both the rooms is same.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2*(L + B)

⇒ 56 = 2*(x + x + 2)

⇒ 56 = 2x + 2x + 4

⇒ 56 - 4 = 4x 

⇒ 4x = 52

⇒ x = 52/4

⇒ x = 13 m

So, Breadth of the rectangle is 13 m

and,

the length is 13 + 2 = 15 m

So, length and breadth of the second room is 15 m and 13 m respectively.
