In isosceles triangle 2 sides of triangle are equal

therefore

here we take 2 equal sides as A and unequal side as B

perimeter of any triangle = sum of all sides

=sum of 2 equal sides

and unequal side

=a + a + b

perimeter of isosceles triangle =2a + b
