A can complete a work in 48minutes
In 1 minute A can do 1/48 of work

Similarly in 1 minute B can do 1/60 of work

Together in 1 minute they would do
 \frac{1}{48}  +  \frac{1}{60}  \\  =  \frac{5}{240}  +  \frac{4}{240}  \\  =  \frac{9}{240}
simplifying 9/240 we get

9/240
= 3/80

In 1 minute A and B together can do 3/80 of work

So whole work they can do in 1 ÷ 3/80
= 1 × 80/3

= 80/3 minutes

= 26.67 minutes

So they can finish the work in 80/3 or 26.67 minutes
