According to parallelogram law of force:

F1 + F2 + F3 = 0

The sum of two forces (F1 + F2) is equal in magnitude and opposite (-) in direction to the resultant (F3)

i. e, F3 = - ( F1 + F2 )

= - ( 0.49 N + 0.98 N )

= - 1.47 N

hence :
