Plants photosynthesize during day time and respire during night.Do u agree to this statement ?Why?Why not?

I am agree to this statement .Plants photosynthesis during day time in the presence of sun and at night sun is not available so plant respire during night.

Plants also take in oxygen like us .
But at daytime they use carbon-dioxide,water,sunlight to prepare food (photosynthesis).At night time they do not prepare food as there is no sunlight.That's why they say that sleeping under a tree at day time is good as the plant gives out oxygen but,sleeping under a tree at night time is harmful as they give out carbon-dioxide.
Therefore i agree with the above statement
