Plaster of Paris is formed by Gypsum
Gypsum =CaSo4. 2H2O
On heating gypsum
CaSo4. 2H2O +heat-----------CaSo4. 1/2H2O + 1+1/2H2O
CaSo4. 1/2 H2O is Pop it has water molecule so if it put in air so it will become dry or dull.

☺ Hello mate__ ❤
◾◾here is your answer...
➽Plaster of Paris (POP) should be stored in a moisture-proof container because Plaster of Paris, a powdery mass, absorbs water (moisture) to form a hard solid known as gypsum.

Reaction :--
CaSO4.1/2 H2O + 3/2 H2O ----> CaSO4.2H2O
Here
1) CaSO4.1/2 H2O --POP
2) CaSO4.2H2O -- gypsum
I hope, this will help you
Thank you______❤
