Plastics are very useful materials. Why than is there concern today about their increasing use

No doubt ! plastics are very useful and durable materials . If you look at your surrounding you will found many plastic materials like table, chairs, carry bags etc made up of plastics.
But their increasing use is a matter of concern because they are non degradable substance . They cause serious problems to mankind and nature like soil pollution or degradation of soil and many types of diseases are caused by harmful substances from plastic , it also chokes respiratory system of animals if they swallow it. That's why their increasing use is a matter of concern.
