Applications of Pressure in Daily Life. Some of the applications of pressure are given below. ... When air is sucked out of a drinking straw, the air pressure inside if decreases and the atmospheric pressure outside forces the liquid to go inside the straw. Skis have a large area to reduce the pressure on the snow.
EXAMPLE
The pressure is dependent on the area over which the force is acting, without any change in the force, the pressure can be increased and decreased. The Force applied to be constant if the surface becomes smaller the pressure increases and vice versa.

yes changes can be brought out with application of pressure. For example take a balloon and have some pressure on it or press it the shape of the balloon changes. Air has also pressure if we put air inside the balloon the balloon becomes enlarged because of the pressure it has provided.
