Take any two points on the line (see attached pic),
say point 1 = (1,2)
point 2 = (3,6)
Now, as we know that slope of a line = (difference of y coordinates)/(difference of x coordinates)
= (6 -2) / (3 - 1)
= 4/2
=2
Hence, slope of the given line is 2
