Law of constancy of interfacial angles In all crystals of the same substance, the angles between corresponding faces have the same value when measured at the same temperature. This concept was first proposed by Steno in 1669 and was formulated as a law by Romé de l'Isle in 1772.

Definition
This law states that the angles between the crystal faces of a given species are constant.
It does not depend on the lateral extension of these faces, the origin of the crystal, or characteristic of that species.
This law was first observed by the Danish physician Nicolas Steno and Domenico Guglielmini
