Explanation:

a) Antoine Lavoiser described the Ethanol as a component of carbon .Ethanol used extensively as a solvent in the manufacturing of varnishes and perfumes ,as a preservation for biological specimens in the preparation of essence and flavouring, in many medicines and drugs .

Ethanolis composed of two carbon atoms 6 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atoms

Pure Ethanol is flammable,colorlessliquid etc

b) By the process of Safonification

Usually a process by which triglycerides are reacted with sodium or potassium Hydroxide to produce glucose and a flat acid salt called soap

So the component added is NaOHwith Complex esters to form soap .

c) One of the hydrogen atom in the Methane has been replaced by a chlorine atom so this is a Sub situation reaction however the reaction does not stop there and all the hydrogen in the Methane can in turn be replaced by chlorine atoms

Hope it helps
