Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

x= -2/5

y = -9/10

taking x+y,

we get

-2/5+( -9/10)

Taking LCM as 10, we get

-4-9/10

= -13/10

Now taking y+x

we get

-9/10+(-2/5)

Taking LCM as 10, we get

-9-4/10

= -13/10

Hence both answers are same.

Hence Verified.

Given

x = \dfrac{-2}{5}

y = \dfrac{-9}{10}

LHS

= x + y

= \dfrac{-2}{5} +\dfrac{-9}{10}

= \dfrac{-4-9}{10}

= \dfrac{-13}{10}

RHS

= y + x

= \dfrac{-9}{10} +\dfrac{-2}{5}

= \dfrac{-9-4}{10}

= \dfrac{-13}{10}

LHS = RHS

Hence proved !!!!
