1. Equivalent Resistance between A and D = 2 + 1 = 3 ohm.

And, adding with DB equivalent resistance = 3 + 4 = 7 ohm.

2. Equivalent Resistance between AC-CB = 2 + 2 = 4 ohm.

3. And, resistance between AB (direct) = 3 ohm.

Now, 1 , 2 and 3 are in parallel...

So,

Equivalent Resistance between A and B will be

1/R = 1/7 + 1/4 + 1/3

1/R = (12 + 21 + 28)/84

1/R = 61/84

R = 84/61

R = 1.37.......(option D)

Hope it was helpful

Answer:d) 1.37 ohms

Explanation:

the equivalent resistance in ac and bc is 2+2 =4 ohms

the resistance across ad and bd is  1+2+4=7 ohms

finally ,

there are 3 resistors 4,3 and 7 ohms in parallel

so, 1/3+1/4+1/7=1/r

=>  equivalent resistance = 1.37 ohms
