From image we can see That :-

→ LM = Length of Perpendicular = 12.2m .

→ Angle LNM = 66°

→ MN = l m = Length of Base = ?

Solution :-

we know That, Tan@ = Perpendicular/Base .

So,

→ Tan66° = LM/MN

→ Tan66° = 12.2/l

→ l = 12.2 / Tan66°

→ l = (12.2 / 2.24)

→ l = 5.44 m. = 5.40m .(To the Nearest Tenth of a metre).

Hence, Length of l(MN) is 5.4m. .

Important :-

→ sin theta = Perpendicular/Hypotenuse

→ cos theta = Base/Hypotenuse

→ tan theta = Perpendicular/Base

→ cosec theta = Hypotenuse/Perpendicular

→ sec theta = Hypotenuse/Base

= cot theta = Base/Perpendicular...
