Answer:

as we know that sinx= perpendicular / hypotenuse

sin29= 7.7/ DE

0.4848=7.7/ DE

DE=7.7/0.4848

DE= 15.88 cm

From image we can see That :-

→ DF = Length of Perpendicular = 7.7cm .

→ Angle DEF = 29°

→ DE = Length of Hypotenuse = ?

Solution :-

we know That, sin@ = (Perpendicular/Hypotenuse) .

So,

→ sin29° = DF/DE

→ sin29° = 7.7/DE

→ DE = 7.7 / sin29°

→ DE = (7.7 / 0.484)

→ DE = 15.90cm. = 16cm (To the Nearest Tenth of a metre).

Hence, Length of DE is 16cm.

useful :-

→ sin theta = Perpendicular/Hypotenuse

→ cos theta = Base/Hypotenuse

→ tan theta = Perpendicular/Base

→ cosec theta = Hypotenuse/Perpendicular

→ sec theta = Hypotenuse/Base

→ cot theta = Base/Perpendicular..
