Given that Bala takes 2 seconds to run 10m.

We know that Speed = Distance/Time.

Speed of Bala = (10/2) = 5 m/sec.

Remaining distance = 100 - 10 = 90m.

Time taken by Bala to cover 90m = 90/5 = 18 sec.

So, Speed of Ashok = 100/18

= > 50/9

= > 9 (5/9) m/sec.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

given that bala takes 2 seconds to run 10m

since speed= distance/time

speed of bala= (10/2) = 5m/s

remaining distance= 100-20 (since bala got a headstart of 10 m and he lost by 10 m so he ran a total of 80m in that time)

time taken by bala to cover 80m = 80/5= 16 sec

speed of ashok = 100/16 = 6.25 m/s or 25/4 m/s
