(i) Meiosis is seen in the cells that are responsible for gametes formation.

Explanation:

Meiosis is a type of cell division that is seen in oogenesis and spermatogenesis, i.e is the formation of the egg and sperm cell. Meiosis is completed in two stages, Meiosis phase 1 and Meiosis phase 2.

(ii) At the end of the meiosis phase 1 division, 2 haploid daughter cells are formed.

(iii) The most significant feature of meiosis is to restore the 2n set of chromosomes. If for gamete formation mitosis is done, the number of set of chromosomes will increase, because both the egg cell and the sperm will have 2n chromosomes.

(iv) At the end of the meiosis phase 2 division, 4  haploid daughter cells are formed.
