Solution (1) :-

To find the answers of these questions we use a concept called as the exterior angle property.

 \sf \leadsto Exterior \: angle = Sum \: of \: interior \: opposite

 \sf \leadsto {120}^{\circ} = x + {60}^{\circ}

 \sf \leadsto x = 120 - 60

 \sf \leadsto x = {60}^{\circ}

Solution (2) :-

 \sf \leadsto Exterior \: angle = Sum \: of \: interior \: opposite

 \sf \leadsto {140}^{\circ} = x + {72}^{\circ}

 \sf \leadsto x = 140 - 72

 \sf \leadsto x = {68}^{\circ}

Solution (3) :-

 \sf \leadsto Exterior \: angle = Sum \: of \: interior \: opposite

 \sf \leadsto x = 60 + 40

 \sf \leadsto x = {100}^{\circ}

Solution (4) :-

 \sf \leadsto Exterior \: angle = Sum \: of \: interior \: opposite

 \sf \leadsto {72}^{\circ} = x + {40}^{\circ}

 \sf \leadsto x = 72 - 40

 \sf \leadsto x = {32}^{\circ}

Hence, solved !!

1. x = 60°

2. x = 68°

3. x = 100°

4. x = 32°

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to remember that,

A triangle's exterior angle = sum of the interior angles opposite from exterior

QUESTION 1 :-

Exterior angle = Sum of opposite interior angles

=> 120° = x + 60°

=> 120° - 60° = x

=> 60° = x

=> x = 60°

QUESTION 2 :-

Exterior angle = Sum of opposite interior angles

=> 140° = x + 72°

=> 140° - 72° = x

=> 68° = x

=> x = 68°

QUESTION 3 :-

Exterior angle = Sum of opposite interior angles

=> x = 60° + 40°

=> x = 100°

QUESTION 4 :-

Exterior angle = Sum of opposite interior angles

=> 72° = x + 40°

=> 72° - 40° = x

=> 32° = x

=> x = 32°
