1)The Process of Respiration in Plants

Consequently, leaves, stems and roots of plants separately exchange gases. Leaves possess stomata – tiny pores, for gaseous exchange. The oxygen consumed via stomata is used up by cells in the leaves to disintegrate glucose into water and carbon dioxide

2)There are five main modes of seed dispersal: gravity, wind, ballistic, water, and by animals. Some plants are serotinous and only disperse their seeds in response to an environmental stimulus

3) Their adaptations include:

a white appearance - as camouflage from prey on the snow and ice.

thick layers of fat and fur - for insulation against the cold.

a small surface area to volume ratio - to minimise heat loss.

a greasy coat that sheds water after swimming - to help reduce heat loss.
